Volunteer Energy's metered propane allows you to “pay-as-you-go” for propane in the same way that you pay for your electric usage.

The tank is filled at no cost to you.

You are billed monthly only for the propane you use.

This service is currently offered in Meigs, McMinn, Roane, and Rhea counties, with plans to expand in the near future.

This venture is a valuable service provided to customers by VEC. It is a financial hardship on many people to pay hundreds of dollars to fill their tanks as is required with traditional propane services. With metered propane, customers are better able to manage their energy dollars.

Price

Effective January 1, 2009

Residential metered propane: $2.40/gallon

Commercial metered propane: $2.10/gallon

Bulk 120 gallon: $2.35/gallon

Residential will call: $2.35/gallon

Residential auto fill: $2.30/gallon

Commercial: $2.05/gallon
